I awoke to find myself tied to a chair, it was dark except for the flickering lights from the white noise on the TV. A figure obscured the light and activated a Wii set in front of the television, and in that moment, a flash over the disk revealed its identity which was then confirmed by the monotonous opening theme for the game. The unidentified man chuckled as he taped the wiimote and nunchuck to my hands. At first the colorful landscape of the world seemed inviting and as I played through the tutorial it seemed simple enough, but as it continued a headache ensued. The jerky camera shook about and not even my trained gamer eyes could keep up with the bright poptart and lollipop platforms, and I became lost in the dizzying mirage of bees and slices of cake. I zoned out and felt as if I was stuck in this bad game forever, the controls stopped responding correctly and the death sequence seemed stuck on loop as I attempted to get past the same obstacles over and over. After clearing a level taking me forever I was then introduced by a new environment filled with its own mind torturing levels. All the while the chuckling grew louder and louder, I struggled to escape but it was no use, and when I closed my eyes the images seemed etched there for good. Forever burned into the back of my eyelids even to this day, are the memories of a game that should have never been, and one that was never meant to be played…
