While Far Cry 4 (so far) seems to have not had the widespread issues plagued by other releases of late like Halo: The Master Chief Collection or Assassin’s Creed Unity, users for the game have still reported some issues from the recently-released open world shooter, particularly on the PS3 and PC versions of the game.

Following claims of data corruption on the PS3 version and a black screen issue on the PC, Ubisoft has issued fixes for both versions of the game, while the PS3 fix isn’t exactly desirable and the PC is not available just yet.
In new posts on Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 Live Updates blog, the company addressed both of these issues by detailing that for the PS3 version of the game, users must delete all of their previous Far Cry 4 files from their console (including save files), and then re-download a fresh copy of the game to correct the issues of data corruption and play with the correct version of the game.
For the PC version’s issues with black screen-ing (apparently when external USB devices are present), Ubisoft has detailed that a patch for this issue will be released at some point either today or “in the following days,” so while a fix isn’t available just yet, it will be here in the near future and easier than the PS3 solution.

Far Cry 4 is another version of extremely popular first-person sandbox shooting game. The action of Far Cry 4 takes us to Kyrat. It is a small fictional country situated in the Himalayas, where the inhabitants live according to traditions and simple way of life. However, the country is involved in civil war between an eccentric military warlord Pagan Min and self-proclaimed ruler Kyrat. The main protagonist of the game is called Ajay Ghale.
