As we know, EA released game update for The Sims 4 (version : 1.0.671.10) on September 6. I experienced an issue today where origin keep asking me for updating the game although I've done it. I've tried many different ways to fix this issue and I finally figured out how to fix it. If you experience the same thing as me, you may wish to follow this instruction :
  1. Go to The Sims 4 Installation folder. Default folder for digital version:
    - Windows XP or later 32 bit version: C:Program FilesOrigin GamesThe Sims 4.
    - Windows XP or later 64 bit version: C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesThe Sims 4.
    Delete the '__Installer' folder.
  2. Open Origin Client app and try to download the update again. It will re-downloading the update file and all files were in '__Installer' folder you've just deleted. Wait a minute until the setup is finished.
  3. YOU'RE READY TO PLAY

But if the instruction above doesn't work, You may follow this instruction:

    Back up all things (except '_Installer' folder) into a safe path/folder wherever you'd like to.
  2. Uninstall The Sims 4. You can uninstall The Sims 4 via Control Panel, click 'Uninstall a Program' under 'Programs' menu, right click 'The Sims 4' then click 'uninstall/change'.

  3. Unistall Origin Client app.
  4. Restart your computer (optional)
  5. Download Origin Client app. You can download Origin Client app from www.origin.com
  6. Install it. Wait a moment untit the setup is finished. Origin will open automatically (if it doesn't, you can open it manually). Wait a moment until origin's finished downloading the update then login.
  7. Go to C:Program FilesOrigin Games (or C:Program Files (x86)Origin Games for 64 bit version of Windows), create 'The Sims 4' folder, and copy all things You've backup (The Sims 4 files and folders) into 'The Sims 4' folder You've just created wait until it's finished.
  8. Back to Origin app! Select 'The Sims 4' on your game library and Click download button. You don't need download it from the beginning, because you already have most of The Sims 4 files. It will only download the update files.

  9. YOU'RE READY TO PLAY

Cara Mengatasi Masalah Pembaruan The Sims 4 - Terus Meminta Untuk Memperbarui

Seperti yang kita ketahui, EA merilis pembaruan untuk The Sims 4 (versi : 1.0.671.10) pada tanggal 6 September. saya mengalami masalah dengannya hari ini dimana origin terus meminta untuk memperbarui The Sims 4 walaupun saya sudah melakukannya. Saya sudah mencoba berbagai cara untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dan akhirnya saya menemukan cara untuk memperbaikinya. Jika kamu mengalami hal yang sama seperti saya, kalian dapat mengikuti cara di bawah :

Origin Update Stuck At Finalizing

  1. Pergi ke folder instalasi The Sims 4. Folder default untuk versi digital :
    - Windows XP atau yang lebih baru versi 32 bit: C:Program FilesOrigin GamesThe Sims 4.
    - Windows XP atau yang lebih baru versi 64 bit: C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesThe Sims 4.
    Hapus folder '__Installer'.
  2. Buka aplikasi Origin dan coba download ulang pembaruannya. Origin hanya akan mengunduh pembaruannya dan semua file yang berada di folder '__Installer' yang baru saja kamu hapus. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai selesai.
  3. KAMU SIAP UNTUK BERMAIN!

Tapi jika cara di atas tidak berhasil, ikuti cara di bawah :

    Salin semua folder (kecuali folder '_Installer') ke tempat/folder yang aman.
  2. Uninstall The Sims 4. Kamu dapat meng-unistallnya melalui Control Panel, klik 'Uninstall a Program' di bawah menu 'Programs', klik kanan 'The Sims 4' lalu klik 'uninstall/change'.

  3. Unistall aplikasi Origin Client.
  4. Restart komputer kamu (jika perlu)
  5. Unduh aplikasi Origin Client. Kamu dapat mengunduhnya di www.origin.com
  6. Install Origin. Tunggu sampai selesai. Origin akan terbuka secara otomatis (jika tidak, kamu dapat membukannya secara manual). Tunggu beberapa saat sampai origin selesai mengunduh pembaruannya, lalu login.
  7. Pergi ke C:Program FilesOrigin Games (atau C:Program Files (x86)Origin Games untuk Windows versi 64 bit), buat folder 'The Sims 4', dan salin semua folder yang telah kamu backup ke folder 'The Sims 4' yang baru saja kamu buat.
  8. Kembali ke aplikasi Origin. Pilih 'The Sims 4' di Game Library kalian lalu klik tombol download. Kamu tidak perlu mengunduhnya dari awal karena kamu sudah mempunyai sebagian besar file The Sims 4. Origin hanya akan mengunduh pembaruannya saja.

  9. KAMU SIAP MEMAINKANNYA!
