Looks like it has potential but at the moment isn't usable on the hardware I tried running MakululLinux on. I initially installed to a Virtualbox VM, where I test many linux versions without problem, but this one for some reason kept locking up and becoming unresponsive. I have to reboot the virtual machine each time. It locked in random places after the desktop loaded and I wasn't able to do anything. This was using live-cd as I wasn't able to get as far as running install. I also tried running on my laptop from a DVD disk. It didn't lock up but after booting to desktop in live-cd mode the windows and menus vanished before I could do anything with them. I tried a couple of times with the same result and gave up. Hardware was a Toshiba Satellite P300. I will try the next version when it comes out, and hope to give it a better rating. I had to give only one star because I don't remember when I last tried a Linux system that just wouldn't run.
