This method is currently available only for iOS as the Android version of Instagram is not working properly with GoPro videos. Launch the GoPro App after you recorded your video. Select Connect and Control. Download either the High Resolution or Low Resolution of the video to your smartphone or tablet's camera roll.

Transferring videos to your phone using GoPro's app over wifi always seems to take forever. In the past, I've used a USB camera adapter with a card reader and it's definitely faster. However, I've always wanted to just connect my GoPro directly to my phone and transfer the footage. I mean, if my Panasonic G7 can do it, why can't the GoPro?

With that in mind, I started experimenting with my GoPro Session and the new USB 3 camera adapter from Apple. While it's not the most reliable method, it technically works. As they say, your mileage may vary (YMMV).

Stick with me...I know this is going to start out sounding like it's not an Apple question.

On vacation recently, I purchased a GoPro Hero 3+ Black edition. The camera came bundled with a relatively small capacity Micro SD (8GB), so after some exploratory use of the camera I found the capacity wasn't going to make it through the rest of my trip. Using the GoPro app I had installed on my iPhone 5S, I wirelessly transferred some of the larger files on the camera to my iPhone.

Here's the Apple part: The photos I transferred to the phone were placed in a new album the GoPro app created in the Apple Photos app, appropriately titled 'GoPro Album.' When I sync my phone, this album does not get included in the sync, so these photos haven't been transferred to iPhoto on my MacPro. When I look in iTunes, this album does not show as a sync option to click to include in syncing.

So, I guess the short version is this: How do I get this new album that was created on the phone to sync with iPhoto on my computer?
